Bummies Day Out!!

Bike rides are always Fun and Awesome, but if you are riding on Mumbai roads with a beefy traffic and ample number of potholes... It's a NO NO!! Gave my bummies some real pain. But then it is still doable.

Bumpy Bike Ride

Well...this bike ride was taken to attend a gig. Actually my very 1st gig! and all thanks to my bestie RJ.

#PumaLovesVinyl

Puma and NH7 had joined hands in 2012 to put Indian Indies on Vinyl.

Puma Loves Vinyl – Sound of 2014. Co-Consiperators NH7
Location Bandra Fort Amphitheater
Bands that were lined up:
> Unohu
> PrateekKuhad
> Your Chin
> Skrat

> Headlining: Scribe

Honestly I had no idea about these bands but RJ did... and he assured me that this will be one of my Best Saturday night ever.

It started with Unohu Band, band of hardly 18-19 year old . To my amaze they did way better than I expected and damn confident. If i was in their place i don't think i would have been able to pull off the crowd so well.

Unohu Band

As they started their vocalist Sarthak  said  “This can only become a gig if you make it a gig.” And made us stand! Eventually when everyone sat down again, he said “ GET UP! Scribe will piss on you if you guys are sitting!!”

Sarthak - Vocalist

WOW!! That was just awesome!! So much energy and confident this young band had!
#Jinxed was one of the song played by them.

Next was Prateek Kuhad!  Started off with some technical difficulties but when they started playing, the music was soft and soothing to my ears! They had this southernish country feel in them!

#HoldingOn was one of the song they played. Raat Raazi was a song which everyone wanted him to play but he couldn't because of less time.

Prateek Kuhad

Your Chin was next.
I could see a Hindi quote "ungliyon pe nachana" gaining actuality.
He just needed his fingers to make whole crowd to stand up and dance.

Your Chin making everyone groove

Skrat
They totally made the crowd start some head banging!!

Sriram - Vocalist

Skrat

The Chennai Boys were really great... The energy was bang on!!

After their performance all i was doing is humming...
'Lager Lager Lager Lager Lager Lager la *HIC*'

And finally a BIG Finish to the whole gig “Scribe”. They were a total culture shock for me. Something I had neither experienced nor seen before.

Die Hard Crazy fan startin prep up for something (which i had no idea of then)

Scribe entered with an Amitabh Bachchan’s dialogue playing in background: 'Is duniya mein do tarah ka keeda hote hai. Ek woh jo kachre se uthta hai. Aur doosra woh jo paap ki gandegi se uthta hai. Kachre wala keeda insaan ko bimaar kar deta hai. Magar paap ki gandegi ka keeda saare samaaj ko bimaar kar deta hai. Kachre ke keede ko maarne ke liye flit bazaar mein milta hai. Magar paap ke keede ko marne wala flit, saala, bana hi nahi hai aaj tak.

(not sure this was the dialogue but it did sound pretty much like this)

Scribe

And as they started songs… i realized what was the whole crowd preparing... everyone started pushing and going here and there!! Standing so adjacent to the stage, the pressure i received from the push was much stronger.

Well this is called 'mosh pit'

Came as a total shocker for me. I had never seen this before.

Extreme Head Banging had begun or if i may say "The Shit just got real!!!!!"

Mosh Pit

As much as I was scared to death seeing this, I equally was enjoying the band playing.

Vishwesh Krishnamorthy

Vishwesh Krishnamorthy this guy totally rocked the stage…. Crazy energy!!
This Metal Band was scary as well as filled with awesomeness.

So yes, my 1st experience of gig... Thumbs Up!!
Enjoyed myself to the core!!! Rj was right this was indeed my best Saturday night ever....

---Cheers!---
